Introduction
I worked as a Community Maternity Care Assistant (NHS) for six years until 2007. After attending a course in Breastfeeding Management, run by UNICEF in 2004, I became a Breastfeeding Specialist. This involved supporting new mothers and babies to breastfeed efficiently, providing training for midwifery colleagues to keep their skills updated, and involvement in planning and extending NHS breastfeeding support for new mothers around Oxford city.
Now, working for myself, I am able to focus solely on breastfeeding support and education in order to encourage harmony, health and bonding for each family I work with.
“Lisa was a great comfort and with her support and guidance I was able to
feel strong and confident in my breastfeeding, so that my son and I fell into our own lovely rhythm” ZT.
“Lisa is a very caring and knowledgeable professional and I would recommend her to anyone struggling with feeding their baby. She made me feel at ease and... helped me to build my confidence to get back on track with breastfeeding my daughter” TR.
